When ChatGPT was first released I quickly lost count of the number of HN comments predicting Google had about 6-12 months before their search monopoly and ad revenue evaporated.

- byzantinegene 1y agoyes a 100ms search still beats a prompt that takes several seconds to return a response everytime
- knowaveragejoe 1y agoIt depends on what I'm looking for, but by and large yes. It's still much faster.
