You might be interested in gdevelop; but honestly havent tried it. I've had multiple attempts at Ursina and Panda3d. AI isnt capable of coding these in any reasonable way. Pygame is far more plausible to code, but soon as you go beyond that 8bit complexity game, it really starts to chug; but it can get there. Gotta stay 2d it seems.
