Ages ago I used work on the code for wikipedia's infoboxes and to make testing less boring, had a list thousands of famous people. The test script would pick one randomly to populate the info box. After many months of staring at the spouse list of famous people, it felt like literally all of them had been married multiple times. Maybe its just natural and affordable for people who are doing well. And maybe successful women just need to target younger men who communicate their issues better, and aren't carrying as much older belief baggage.
- robocat 1y agoIn my limited experience, successful women find it difficult to find a partner with similar success: 1. Many men struggle to deal with a women that is doing better than they are (see article) 2. Successful men are extremely sought after, so there are hurdles for a successful women that is otherwise an average women to "compete" for a successful man. 3. There's some fairly epic horribleness from others about the issue (I find your comment unpleasant). Society can have some mean stereotypes about successful women - even ignoring jealousy.
- pols45 1y agoThe article does not say they are looking for men with similar success. It says they are looking for men able to handle their success. Big diff.
