I'm starting to think that the only proper way to run Windows these days is in a VM under Linux.
Run it with a very restrictive firewall, and be sure to take snapshots regularly so that you could revert unwanted changes that slip through.
- supertrope 1y agoI switched to dual booting. I only boot Windows for Steam. I wish there was a way to disable the pop-up asking to format the unknown (ext4) partition.
- MattPalmer1086 1y agoI used to do that, but more than once Windows trashed the boot of Linux on some update. I still have one dual boot machine, but they are on separate drives. So far no issues with that setup.
