- pjmlp 1y agoAs I said, then any programmer editor is an IDE, including UltraEdit and Notepad++.
- trenchpilgrim 1y agoNotepad++ has a debugger UI? One that goes beyond running a terminal inside a pane?
- pjmlp 1y agoIt has plugins....and about 30 years of ecosystem history. Try to use Zed to debug Go code.
- trenchpilgrim 1y agoI'm literally doing that right now. I can set breakpoints and graphically step through them in Go files.
- pjmlp 1y agoYeah, thanks to https://microsoft.github.io/debug-adapter-protocol https://microsoft.github.io/debug-adapter-protocol
- niutech 1y agoSublime Text can run code from its UI too. IDE is much more full-featured, like VS vs VSCode or IntelliJ vs Fleet.
