The UX31A has a full HD (1920x1080) display, whereas the D430 has WXGA (1280x768). I don't see many laptops with Full HD displays at that price point.

- roel_v 14y agoSure, but the D430 was available 5 years ago. I was more referring to his claim that there were no good laptops in the ultra portable category since 2003. My point was that there have been several.
- fpp 14y agoThe Asus A95V is another one - real workhorse, huge & heavy (18.4 display) but has latest i7 Ivy-Bridge chip set, 2 hard disks, 16GB mem, full HD. similar price point - actually a bit cheaper than the UX31A but originally only available in Germany.
