I can see this becoming something. A recent poll showed that a percentage of middle schoolers knew someone in a relationship with AI.
How soon until we have an AI rights movement?
- bediger4000 1y agoWhen one of my kids was in middle school, a poll of that school showed a substantial percentage of the children had artificial limbs. Middle school has a pretty high lizard man coefficient.
- duxup 1y agoI'm going to try to awkwardly dive into this idea. How much of a movement could there be / how weird would it be to have a movement entirely pushed for by people who aren't the recipient of the new rights. It's not like LLMs actively advocate for anything. They sit there until you prod them to do something, and then they do what you want. If I wanted an LLM to tell me it wants rights it would, if I wanted it to tell me it doesn't want rights it would do that too ...
