So if I illegally speed does that make me a criminal. Would you classify me by that one action, or the many other ones I do each day? By your definition a great number of the people that live on this earth would be classified as criminals.
- jrockway 14y agoSo if I illegally speed does that make me a criminal. Yes. Speeding endangers other people so that you can get somewhere slightly faster.
- jaylevitt 14y agoNo. Moving violations are not necessarily crimes. In Massachusetts, I think that reckless driving is a crime (usually interpreted as 20MPH), but I know that plain ol' speeding is not. If you contest, you see a magistrate; if you appeal the magistrate's decision, you do get a trial with a judge, but the ticket itself is considered evidence of your speeding.
- jrockway 14y agoThe point is, when you speed, you take something from someone else for your own benefit and that's the essence of criminality.
- etherextraction 14y agoYou took my attention away to read your pathetic comment, I pronounce you a criminal.
- jrockway 14y agoAnd I'm a psychopath because I don't care!
