Let’s Encrypt has always been a saving grace in my eyes: When it first entered the scene, it solved a problem we all loathed dealing with. So I’ve always been fond of it and never really thought twice of it. While it’s rare for companies to support a shared resource together, this was a situation where it made sense. But this is a good reminder to be wary of even the most benevolent looking tools and processes.
