SEEKING WORK | Morocco (UTC+1) | Remote Ex-Automattic (WooCommerce Core team) Senior Full-Stack Engineer. I design, build, and scale React/Next.js apps and WordPress/WooCommerce plugins at product scale. Deep frontend (React, TypeScript, performance, a11y) with solid backend experience (Node.js, PHP, Python). Strong testing culture (Playwright), CI/CD. --- How I can help: • Ship or modernize Next.js apps (SSR/ISR, Core Web Vitals, DX), component systems with Tailwind + shadcn/ui • Build/extend WooCommerce plugins & Gutenberg blocks; integrations, REST APIs, payment flows (Stripe) • Stabilize test infra (Puppeteer Playwright), reduce flakiness, speed up CI • Technical SEO & performance audits; scalable frontend architecture; mentoring and reviews --- Recent highlights: • Led WooCommerce Blocks E2E migration to Playwright; unblocked CI and cut flakes dramatically • Migrated core state to @wordpress/data improving performance/extensibility • Shipped incompatibility detection for payment gateways to prevent merchant revenue loss --- Stack: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PHP, Python, WordPress/WooCommerce (Core/Gutenberg), Tailwind, Playwright, Docker, SQL, GitHub Actions. Availability: Contract (part-time or full-time). EU/US overlap. Can lead a stream or embed with your team. --- - Automattic / WooCommerce contributions: https://github.com/search?q=org%3Awoocommerce+involves%3Atarhi-saad&type=pullrequests https://github.com/search?q=org%3Awoocommerce+involves%3Atar... - wp.org: https://profiles.wordpress.org/saadtarhi/ https://profiles.wordpress.org/saadtarhi/ - Portfolio/projects: https://www.saadtarhi.com/projects https://www.saadtarhi.com/projects - GitHub: https://github.com/tarhi-saad https://github.com/tarhi-saad - LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/saad-tarhi https://www.linkedin.com/in/saad-tarhi - Resume: https://www.saadtarhi.com/resume-saad-tarhi.pdf https://www.saadtarhi.com/resume-saad-tarhi.pdf - Email: hello@saadtarhi.com
