…Aaaaaand this is why I have absolutely no “connected devices”, despite having used computers since 1982 and being in the IT industry since 1997. If it cannot be 100% functional while working completely independently from the cloud, I don’t want it. Which is why most of my sound system involves Pioneer units - some of which were built using vacuum tubes - from the 70s and 80s. With judicious maintenance and careful use, they’ll likely last me for the rest of my life and do an exemplary job of playing music.
