I will get heat for this one:
Being anti-vaccine is political brainrot in the same way being pro-crime is. Holding false political beliefs is a good way to bump up your expected mortality rate as an individual. Presumably there are evolutionary reasons for believing the lies of your tribe, so the mortality bump can't be very large, but it is definitely measurable.
- jfengel 1y agoIs there such a thing as "pro crime"? There's a range of beliefs about what to do about crime, and about what things should be crimes, but I don't think anybody says "Yeah, we should have more criming". Even the criminals want less crime -- they just want to be the only ones who do it.
