Go has good benchmarking built-in and you can use a tool that passes/fails based on statistically-significant regressions, benchstat (https://pkg.go.dev/golang.org/x/perf/cmd/benchstat https://pkg.go.dev/golang.org/x/perf/cmd/benchstat).
