Well, it does what it says on the tin:)
https://github.com/chunqiuyiyu/xie?tab=readme-ov-file#prerequisites https://github.com/chunqiuyiyu/xie?tab=readme-ov-file#prereq... says it needs NodeJS; is that just for building? Could you make a release on github that includes it as a single .html file that could be downloaded and used with no deps but a browser?
- Alejandro9R 1y agohttps://github.com/chunqiuyiyu/xie/tree/gh-pages https://github.com/chunqiuyiyu/xie/tree/gh-pages in the gh-pages branch you have the final index.html. You can also literally download/save the page as well, should be the same. It does not use any other deps than the final index.html Now, speaking about the project itself, maybe it would be good if the notes get also saved into localStorage in some way. One browser refresh or reboot and it all goes away if it wasn't saved.
- jayknight 1y agoYou are obviously not a minimalist /s
- SLWW 1y agoif it auto saved to local storage then it would 100% be a daily use Markdown capable editor
- chunqiuyiyu 1y agoThat's an excellent suggestion — I'll make sure to add this feature.
- chunqiuyiyu 1y agoThank you! I’ll make sure to store the newly created notes in local storage.
- arecsu 1y agoPlease, you're welcome! Local storage will definitively make it much better. Preserve the save feature so it is portable from browser to browser/computer or even shared across people!
- chunqiuyiyu 1y agoYou can click the "Save" button to save the entire page to your own notebook. Node.js is used only for development and deployment purposes.
