Hey everyone,
I’ve just released SecureBit Chat v4.3.120, a fully serverless, peer-to-peer encrypted messenger — no servers, no metadata, no central authority.
It uses ECDH + AES-256-GCM + DTLS + SAS for end-to-end encryption and supports binary connection exchange, QR-based pairing, and full offline operation.

It's not really honest to advertise as "zero-server architure" when you have google ICE/STUN servers hardcoded. https://github.com/SecureBitChat/securebit-chat/blob/60db79d2ae24ec07e64eb212cf24b4b0c61b85e6/src/network/EnhancedSecureWebRTCManager.js#L7065 https://github.com/SecureBitChat/securebit-chat/blob/60db79d... https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=45400318 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=45400318 Also your code doesn't build because of missing sources for session/PayPerSessionManager.js (???) https://github.com/SecureBitChat/securebit-chat/blob/75fa1cd27dc4ba42b36fb158b7a839aab195b471/src/scripts/bootstrap-modules.js#L9 https://github.com/SecureBitChat/securebit-chat/blob/75fa1cd...
- baobun 1y agolol. The cyrillic comments are just cherry on top. Or is it cherry on slop? https://github.com/SecureBitChat/securebit-chat/blob/804b384271b8be4bbd9488fa3f2d8a4ff43fee70/src/session/PayPerSessionManager.js#L38 https://github.com/SecureBitChat/securebit-chat/blob/804b384... https://github.com/SecureBitChat/securebit-chat/blob/804b384271b8be4bbd9488fa3f2d8a4ff43fee70/src/token-auth/config.js#L166 https://github.com/SecureBitChat/securebit-chat/blob/804b384...
- SecureBitChat 1y agoI stopped charging for sessions and switched the entire system to a free mode with all the chat features. Everything that had been implemented previously was clearly described in the documentation.
- SecureBitChat 1y agoSorry, I'm not familiar with this site's service and didn't know how to reply to comments. I'll be more careful about this now, as it's important. I implemented payment litigation in the first versions, but later abandoned it because it reduced the number of users who could use the chat.
