The purpose was to get in a position to gut institutions that were investing his financial and other shenanigans in order to make them disappear.
I believe he succeeded in that.

- jacquesm 1y agoMusk has given money to voters in various elections on multiple occasions. The fact that he got away with it doesn't change my opinion of this.
- gamblor956 1y agoThat's literally what happened in multiple states... Musk literally gave a several voters $1 million for voting for his candidate. And after he was threatened with criminal charges, after the fact re-defined the payment as appearance fees. Of course, in order to be hired for these appearances, you had to vote for his candidate.
