What I've been looking for in a player client is automatic loudness adjustment.
Even in the show itself, sudden loud bits just send me scrambling for the remote to bring it down to half or even quarter volume.
- fainpul 1y agoYes - I mean not "automatic", but user-adjustable. A video player which allows adjusting the dynamic range, just like you can adjust the volume, would be awesome.
- hapticmonkey 1y agoMy AppleTV 4K’s “reduce loud sounds” and “enhance dialogue” features have made watching TV at night bearable again.
- fwip 1y agoMany TVs or speaker systems will have this feature - it's often called something like "night mode."
