I'll be the first to admit I'm no aficionado but I can't see how more information is a bad thing. The OP feels as if the unwashed masses, once having access to this font of knowledge, will no doubt arrive at the wrong conclusions. To which I say: ya, well, so what? If anything this will be a boon for the NFL by only encouraging more engagement with their fan base.
