Sorry, I was referring to the general stock market (mostly AI) bubble.
As for SpaceX, it's pretty much impossible to know their finances - they don't publish audited accounts. We can just trust what Elon is willing to share with us.
- JumpCrisscross 1y ago> for SpaceX, it's pretty much impossible to know their finances - they don't publish audited accounts SpaceX has audited financials. They're not published, but they leak a lot.
- TheAlchemist 1y agoYes, and Elon companies are well known for leaking reliable information.
- JumpCrisscross 1y ago> Elon companies are well known for leaking reliable information SpaceX isn't leaking their own financials.
- lxgr 1y agoWhat does a stock market bubble have to do with the profitability (i.e. not the valuation) of any given company? Are you arguing that the demand in Internet connectivity in rural/remote areas is somehow caused by an investment bubble as opposed to a long-term stable need?
- TheAlchemist 1y agoNo, I don't think there is any relationship there. I'm saying that I highly doubt the real profitability of SpaceX / Starlink, and we will only see if it's really as good as they say, once the bubble pops and there is no inifinite capital, and maybe some accountability.
- inemesitaffia 1y agoThey aren't raising money. What's there to pop?
- TheAlchemist 1y agoSure, just like xAI is never raising any money (according to Elon). All of his companies are very tightly interconnected, so you should see them as a whole.
- inemesitaffia 1y agoWhen money is actually raised people talk. Sovereign wealth funds and bankers like to talk about their investments even in leaks to Journalists of things under NDA.
