- fsflover 1y agoThere's no quality control in AppStore, https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=44732995 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=44732995.
- crazygringo 1y agoJust because there are some quality control failures (even if there are many) doesn't mean there should be no quality control at all.
- fsflover 1y agoIf even well-known offenders remain there, it just means, there's no guarantee of quality at all.
- crazygringo 1y agoAgain, just because there's no guarantee of quality doesn't mean there still can't be improvement in quality. Some measures are better than no measures. The world isn't black and white.
- fsflover 1y agoJust compare it with Debian repositories. Where's the malware in there?
- crazygringo 1y agoWhat does that have to do with anything?
- andrewmcwatters 1y agoWhat quality control? Are we talking about the same App Store where copyright infringement is blatantly on display? What a joke. I guess it doesn’t matter if its customers are equally as clueless.
- dylan604 1y agoWhere does quality control to spec compliance come into play on copyright issues? Is part of the spec compliance to be free of copyright infringement? /s Of course this is the infuriating type of response I'd expect to receive
- mrguyorama 1y agoA reminder that Apple's "quality control" approved this: https://blog.lastpass.com/posts/warning-fraudulent-app-impersonating-lastpass-currently-available-in-apple-app-store https://blog.lastpass.com/posts/warning-fraudulent-app-imper...
- micromacrofoot 1y agodo they apply it to their own engine?
- crazygringo 1y agoDo they not?
