I have to believe there is no way this could move forward if it would end up banning most movies and TV shows. Not to mention the article talking about banning all VPN traffic, which would eliminate remote work for residents of the state.

Wait for his next term - reading anything other than the Bible will be criminalized. Meanwhile the "progressives" around me probably still think there's no difference between the two parties.

That could get rather awkward, given how many Bible passages directly contradict current Republican policy. Example: When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God. - Leviticus 19:33-34

WTF? You can't comment like that here, no matter who are what you're referring to. Too many of your comments have been straying into inflammatory rhetoric and flamebait. This is not what HN is for and it destroys what it is for. Could you please take a moment to read the guidelines and make more of an effort to observe them in future? https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html

If you feel hurt by my comment, read about the Westboro Baptist Church and decide by yourself if it reflects the founding principles of Christianity of love and tolerance. This is just my point of view as a non-US citizen born in a heavily christian leaning society. It will be hard to find a "god hates fags" sign outside the US. > Too many of your comments have been straying into inflammatory rhetoric and flamebait I think instead you are having a non rational response to a theme you are emotional about.

Client Side Scanning was a real Rorschach test for the internet. People rushed to justify it before considering that the tech can stay the same, but the law can change.

And as for my American friend... The CIA thinks it can infiltrate the mountain with Dr Kron? Take him to Detroit.
