Strategically, it was a positive move for Israel to bomb the Hamas leadership in Qatar as they met to consider how to work a proposed ceasefire to their advantage. Keep in mind that the complete destruction of Hamas is in the best interests of both Israel and the Palestinian people, and the US of course isn't going to do anything to stop them on this course of action as it benefits them too.
- austin-cheney 1y agoThe only thing the rest of the world sees is Israel trying to delay any peace process to further advance a genocide. Hamas was/is irrelevant, as well as the hostages, and peace is the primary obstacle. This may not be true, but it is a nearly universally agreed perspective.
