Ask HN: Best Alternatives for Gmail
Starting Jan 2026, Gmail will stop pulling in POP checkmail feature. No replacement
I’ve relied on Gmail as my all-in-one inbox for decades. Any good alternatives for all-in-one inboxes?
- TheWiggles 1y agoI have good luck with Protonmail and it still supports POP3. You also get the benefit of encryption. I would stay away from Tutamail, I've had bad customer support experience with them and they refused to give me a refund. Also, the UX/UI is rough.
- theothertimcook 1y agoTuta is dog shit, agree on both accounts.
- mustaphah 1y agoYou can’t integrate a third-party mail server unless you pay, right?
- mnewme 1y agoProtonmail looks great! Thx
- theothertimcook 1y agoFastmail
