The fabula of "Dune" was heavily inspired by the historical novel "The Sabres of Paradise" by Lesley Blanch about these events.

  Yikes, there’s was a UK music group of the early nineties called “Sabres of Paradise” I imagine this book was the inspiration for their name. Although I don’t think their music reflects any of this.

  Man’s inhumanity is something terrible to behold in figures like this. - Holocaust (שּׁוֹאָה) 5.5M-6.2M Jews, 200k-2.2M Romani, 5k-100k LGBT, 10k-35k political Would the LGBT and political prisoner figures be sub-sets of Jews/Romanis? Or would they be in addition to those figures? I have read before about specific symbols used in the camps to identify LGBT people, but would the person murdered in a camp who was both Romani and gay be counted once or twice in those figures?
