Accessibility for seniors is a real problem and an iPhone is a terrible choice for people who can’t use their thumbs or see the screen very well. But an article about some very elderly people who cannot remember their own birthday has triggered the exact same Apple-UX-is-in-decline rants that a post about Liquid Glass or literally any other HN post about Apple does. I agree with some of the criticism but it’s not really engaging the point.
