>Until then all both of us have are feelings
Yeah man that's exactly what I said.
>Elected Officials
Hegseth isn't an elected official, so nothing I said about elections is applicable to him. I did make a claim about Hegseth being "well respected by combat vets" which you will notice is different from both "approval rating" and "popularity" and also not at all relevant to the YouGov poll cited above.
- jrflowers 1y agoI love this exchange because you reject the notion of approval ratings and also insist that you have objective knowledge about popularity. It is great to see somebody seriously argue “the only true reality is the one that I, specifically me, imagine in my head” like this sort of stuff is exactly what the internet is made for
- ahmeneeroe-v2 1y ago>Until then all both of us have are feelings Literally I said the opposite
- jrflowers 1y agoExactly. All we have is your feelings because approval rating polls either do not exist or are wrong according to you. I’m guessing it’s something like this page doesn’t exist https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/approval/donald-trump/approval-rating https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/approval/donald-trump... This page is wrong https://www.reuters.com/data/trumps-approval-rating-2025-01-21/ https://www.reuters.com/data/trumps-approval-rating-2025-01-... This page exists but they actually just meant to write “more popular than ever” https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/polls/donald-trump-approval-rating-polls.html https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/polls/donald-trump-appro... This page doesn’t exist https://apnews.com/projects/polling-tracker/ https://apnews.com/projects/polling-tracker/ And these are just made up https://www.economist.com/interactive/trump-approval-tracker https://www.economist.com/interactive/trump-approval-tracker https://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/trump_administration_second_term/trump_approval_index_history_second_term#google_vignette https://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/tru... https://pro.morningconsult.com/trackers/donald-trump-congress-policy-republicans-polling https://pro.morningconsult.com/trackers/donald-trump-congres... https://americanresearchgroup.com/economy/ https://americanresearchgroup.com/economy/ We know this is true because the guy is more popular than ever. It’s written right there on the internet. People don’t just post lies on the internet, that would mess it up for everybody
- ahmeneeroe-v2 1y agoThat's a lot. I'm sure it all means something real and actionable like you can make real world predictions that have material impacts based on all of that.
- jrflowers 1y agoI’m just having fun reading your posts. It is like seeing a guy stumble and pour half of his slushie down the front of his shirt and then yelling “My cup has more juice than ever before! I now possess heretofore unseen amounts of this juice!!” like it is great to watch
