Preparing for war makes a lot of sense to me. If that's not what they're doing, what are we paying them for? Cosplay?
- johnnyanmac 1y agoWar against who? We have regular military drills, but you don't "prepare for war" unless there's a target. That has a specific meaning. >what are we paying them for? Cosplay? Peacekeeping, international relations,fortification, technological advancement. We called if "Defense" for a reason.

That's only correct in the most semantic sense.
