Here's my own anecdotal example of CoffeeScript's readability. Once, before banging out a bit of complex code, I thought I'd write out some psuedocode to help wrap my mind around what I wanted to do. I type out my psuedocode algorithm, realize I've written valid CoffeeScript, then uncomment it. That's the experience that made me think CoffeeScript is MORE readable than JavaScript.
