It's marketing BS in the hands of grifters.

- handfuloflight 1y agoI'm saying there are grifters who co-opt the terms used by people actually pioneering / exploring the space, to sell BS; and that taints OP's view. This doesn't need stating but if it does I am not saying you are a grifter, obviously, because you substantiate your positions. Just another classic signal v. noise.

- nobodywillobsrv 1y ago"Agentic" feels like the new "Generative". Yes, it means something "vague" and vibes oriented. It's when you can run things in a terminal or async or something maybe.
- simonw 1y agoI've been trying to make it less vague. I'm using it to mean something that's directly related to running tools in a loop to achieve a goal.
