Jeebus. Remember when government agencies at least _acted_ like they represented everyone? Putting this archive here in case someone develops a sense of shame: https://archive.is/G5Ej9 https://archive.is/G5Ej9

The guy who Trump put in power of HUD is a fun research - meme stocks, giving away money on twitter to get a following, etc.
    • burkaman 1y ago
That's Bill Pulte, he's the director of the FHFA. The HUD secretary is Scott Turner, former football player and relatively unsuccessful politician.

    Seems like end of democracy.
• cosmicgadget 1y ago
That is unhinged and seems like a clearcut Hatch Act violation.
  • tencentshill 1y ago
They changed the enforcement procedures of the Hatch Act before doing this https://osc.gov/News/Pages/25-99-OSC-Announces-Updates-to-Hatch-Act-Enforcement-Rescinds-past-Advisory-Opinions.aspx?utm_source=chatgpt.com https://osc.gov/News/Pages/25-99-OSC-Announces-Updates-to-Ha...

If only SCOTUS viewed the OSC as independent.

      woo, naked corruption.

Brought to you by the same guy that eliminated all non-English content from the HUD website (https://x.com/SecretaryTurner/status/1961153998330695765 https://x.com/SecretaryTurner/status/1961153998330695765). Shortsighted thinking, he could have lied to a lot more people if he hadn't done that. Also, is the main image on the front page (https://www.hud.gov/sites/dfiles/Main/images/headerheadernew4.jpg https://www.hud.gov/sites/dfiles/Main/images/headerheadernew...) AI-generated? It's very strange-looking.

“They” have the audacity to post this yet fail to show up in congress to actually vote on anything?
