Israel wants to train ChatGPT to be more pro-Israel

- kelseyfrog 1y ago> A July Gallup poll found that only 9% of Americans aged 18-34 support Israel’s military action in Gaza. What if we don't want to be propagandized to. I want to opt-out of being the target of someone trying to convince me that genocide is ok or that this isn't a genocide. I feel like I'd be a worse person if someone changed my mind on the topic.
- LoganDark 1y agoI'm shocked 9% still support it. Both shocked it isn't higher and shocked it isn't lower.
- hedora 1y agoIf you don’t want to be propagandized to, then support and read independent news / media. Also, vote for politicians that will bring back the media ownership rules, and break up giant conglomerates like disney and nexstar. (Which used to be illegal in the US.)

- coronasaurus 1y agoThe company will also focus on content creation targeting gen Zs. All of this coincides with the TikTok buyout, as noted in the article and acknowledged by Netanyahu himself.

- hedora 1y agoI can think of nothing more antisemitic than spreading the idea that questioning Israel’s genocide is antisemitic.

- churchill 1y agoDon't worry; the recent TikTok acquisition will take care of that. As an aside, it's funny/interesting how the Gaza War has completely consumed the political capital Israel spent decades accumulating in the West. A significant percentage of people who used to have no political opinions whatsoever now see Israel as a transparently genocidal terrorist state. I mean, what other conclusion can they reach: the average human might say nasty things on the internet but they don't like bombing tens of thousands of babies, women, healthcare workers, journalists, and civilians. When you do that, repeatedly, you're going to attract displeasure. The last bastion of support for Israel I see are the American evangelicals who believe the whole 'chosen people' shtick. But, their children's generation are mostly either irreligious, Israel-skeptic, or outright embracing people like Fuentes. If Israel doesn't secure a lasting solution to their misadventures in their region, once this generation dies off, that'll be the end of the rope for them. Also, the upsurge in criticism of Israel has forced them to show their cards. A few years ago, if you implied Israel & its proxies exercised significant control of the media, you'd have been called an antisemite. Now, you have Netanyahu bragging about the TikTok acquisition (by a card-carrying Zionist) and fmr. congressman Gallagher confirming that forcing the sale was because of Israel, and the only conclusion you can reach about Ellison's media purchases and the silencing of Israel-critical voices is that, yep, Israel definitely has too much power in Western media spaces. PS: copied this comment from another thread. Relevant, so i thought I'd share.

- churchill 1y agoYes, I know it's happening right now, but there are evangelical boomer types that i expect to carry their Zionism to the grave. Fun fact: Pew research recently published a chart/matrix [0] showing how different religious groups in the US see each other and evangelicals had a +37 favorable rating for Jews, while vice versa, it was something shocking like -50 unfavourability/dislike. Utter contempt. Not surprising to anyone in the know though that the Jewish community largely despise evangelicals & Christians while the other sides falls over themselves to be friendly. - mna_ 1y agoJust because `liberals' don't share their views, doesn't mean they want to see them die.
- mackeye 1y agothis is a long-tired sympathy of colonialism. social relations are slow to advance --- and slow further when under occupation, or (e.g.) a genocide. it's not as if gay marriage is legal in israel.
- tguvot 1y agogay marriage is legal in israel and both partners get all rights. gender affirming care is part of government provided medical services. gay/trans palestinians running away (honor killing and stuff) can get asylum in Israel .
- nar001 1y agoIsrael has pretty tight relationship with other western powers, and more specifically the US, and also tries to attract people from said western countries to come to Israel. Whereas the Palestinians are constantly killed and forced to move, and refused a stable home and country. Not sure how you want to create social reforms and progress when you don't even have basic security for living safely. You can only advance social issues if you have the mental bandwidth and means to do so, not by being constantly attacked and bombed for more than 50 years now. I also don't condition not supporting massive amounts of civilian murder with LGBT rights. These can come after. For now the killing has to stop, regardless.
- tguvot 1y agoputting aside multiple "incorrectness" in your statement, 89% of palestinians support sharia as law of the land. removing occupation won't make them into society where lgbt live long and prosper. brief look at neighborhood will be a good example. and just for lols: https://brusselssignal.eu/2025/09/not-all-in-the-same-boat-gaza-flotilla-leadership-turns-on-itself-over-woke-agenda/ https://brusselssignal.eu/2025/09/not-all-in-the-same-boat-g...
- archdang 1y agoThe blatant political purposes of acquiring TikTok demonstrate the impoverished status of the US and Israel to millions of representatives of Gen Z, and another platform is ready to rise to bring more truthful takes to the next generation.
