Cloudflare Post-Quantum TLS
- dsykes 1y agohttps://xkcd.com/538/ https://xkcd.com/538/ feels relevant here. Cloudflare is the biggest MITM in the world. Seems easier to attack the MITM, and unlike quantum computing, is practical today.
- nabla9 1y agoKnow any successful MITM attacks trough Cloudflare? Cloudflare MITM argument just because Cloudflare is in the middle without details is not very convincing or helpful.
- dsykes 1y agoKnow any successful uses of quantum computing to break contemporary encryption? Meanwhile high profile data breeches, usually with a human-based root cause, aren’t uncommon these days. I’m not implying Cloudflare will someday be breeched, but it’s a non-zero possibility, and thanks to their position as an SSL-decrypting and re-encrypting intermediary, would be totally transparent to origins and end users. That said, I use Cloudflare for sites I host. It’s just an interesting philosophical discussion point.
