In the Corvette community, using a higher octane fuel on hotter days is well known to prevent ping.
- jfengel 1y agoI'm surprised the Vette doesn't call for high octane all the time. It's common for high compression engines.
- dotancohen 1y agoThe knock sensor on LT1 and later engines allows one to get away with lower octane fuel for day to day driving.
