My experience as a child was that my parents installed a second monitor on an extron display signal splitter to another monitor in the living room -- so you were always being watched. It worked until I learned about extended desktop. So, the conversation and respect to help your child find their way is the way. Control is rarely helpful, although I see what you're doing now as protection and am glad you're looking to lift it as you can.
