What an interesting experiment to see if LLMs make better search engines (they do, more or less). I found Last dragon chronicles by d’Lacey, Dragons eye by Steer, and Dragonfly in Amber by Gabaldon. There are some details about the characters which have the tattoos, but I am not sure how accurate those details are. There’s also Dragons daughter by McLaughlin.

- nis0s 1y agoGlad you found it, I enjoyed watching the LLM think through its process of finding the right candidates. It was a good exercise in understanding reasoning.
- PaulHoule 1y agoTo be specific the AI Mode that Google rolled out a few weeks ago is head and shoulders better than the summaries they had before. If you write a query like “I am looking for a paper that came to a certain conclusion” for something I remember seeing in the last few years it has 100% hit rate in the top 3 results so far.
- nis0s 1y agoThat’s interesting, and good to know. I used a tool I have on my machine which shows me how a given model is reasoning in real time via a developer view.
