As far as I can tell there's no inherent incompatibility, as demonstrated by the many contemporary and historic examples of Muslims and Christians coexisting peacefully. It's attitudes like this that drive vulnerable people to gangs and extremist ideology, causing the issues you see today in some - not all - Western societies.
