vterm flickers a lot with any busier TUI. Claude Code sucks in vterm. I'd also really look forward to using libghostty to try an alternative to vterm in emacs.

- Igrom 1y agoMy issues revolve around evil: - motions stop at the terminal "line" (e.g. press "0": it doesn't move to the beginning of the line) - moving from normal to insert mode, or running commands like "r" from normal mode often breaks. Sometimes, a completely different character is replaced elsewhere in the line. - there's often a two-three second lag between entering insert mode from normal mode.
