No. “Many” is the absolute wrong qualifier here. By mid 2024, over 13 billion doses of vaccine had been administered. I don’t know what number of people died of blood clots as a result, but I am very sure that it’s not “many”. I’d hazard a guess that the number may not even be “statistically significant” (though that sounds really cold and harsh).
- duxup 1y agoI remember when my wife was pregnant, she was talking about vaccines and how she had patients coming in and mentioning how many women had miscarriages after a vaccine. The number was a big scary number… but actually no different than just the regular miscarriage rate.
- zimpenfish 1y ago[0] has 5718 deaths from 324m vaccine doses (0.002%). [1] has "around 10.5 per million first doses administered" (0.001%). [2] has "out of more than 18 million people who got J&J, 60 cases of TTS were reported" (0.0003%). These numbers are likely underreported but even if you bump them by 2 orders of magnitude, they are still extremely small percentages.
