My cynical take is that the leadership in these countries has realized that no amount of hiding under the carpet could save them from the culpability of having actively supporting a genocide, so now they are scurrying like cockroaches trying to distance themselves from the genocidal Israeli state. We should remember that it was those very same governments that happily supplied weapons to Israel and actively blocked resolutions by the UN to recognize and stop the genocide that's been happening in the last two years. We need to hold our "leaders" accountable and not allow them to escape culpability.
