- VladVladikoff 1y agoo_O Intentionally putting forever chemicals in our foods seems like not a great plan. Why is it so hard to just not eat processed crap? This feels like entirely the wrong direction to take with food nutrition.
- foobarbecue 1y agoWell yeah. That's why it won an Ig Nobel. It is kind of surprising to me that the experiment didn't kill the rats though! https://doi.org/10.1177/1932296815626726 https://doi.org/10.1177/1932296815626726
- danielscrubs 1y agoIt was not a Nobel prize. It is a parody prize that dishonours Nobels name, called Ig Nobel By Marc Abrahams. Your reward is a solitary banknote for the amount of 10 trillion Zimbabwean dollars $0.40 USD.
- karmakurtisaani 1y agoApparently teflon is not terribly bad when ingested. The molecule is so large that it just passes through the digestive system rather than getting absorbed to the cells. Other forever chemicals on the other hand can be quite dangerous. Veritasium did a nice video on the topic some time ago, in case you want to know more.
