I understand not wanting to deal with payments if it is a subscription - ongoing payments, especially small amounts, are not cost- or time-effective to collect. I don't mind paying a distribution fee for things that help me, but as a somewhat-informed techy I don't have great feelings about buying from Gumroad (based on past experiences where the items I bought were substandard quality). My question wasn't why not the App Store (I get that) so much as why play in anyone's sandbox if you don't have to? I'm glad you found something that works.
