More people need access to AI hardware for it to be viable. There is no critical mass. And a super expensive laptop is not going to get us there.
Rather than force people into all new hardware, because they were greedy and that didn't work, Cheap $50 NPU cards need to start coming out with 100's of TOPS. Right now the only option is at least $1,000+ and that isn't going to fly.

- downrightmike 1y agoExactly, we won't have anything useful until the masses get to use it. Its like sound blaster or GPUs in the early days, you didn't need one, but once they became common, we got more software and use out of them.
