Google already doesn't pay out creators for views with blocked ads, no advertiser is going to pay for ads that were never shown. The view counter doesn't matter to that. Perhaps Youtube could enforce tougher blocking of ad blockers to support creators better.
- jve 1y agoA view counter from premium member (user without ads) should count.
- echoangle 1y agoIt matters if you include a sponsorship in your video and get paid based on view numbers.
- account42 1y agoIf this makes in-video ads unprofitable then I hope Youtube never fixes it. And it sounds like EasyList made the right choice in including the filter.
