Gmail Mail Delivery Subsystem Being Used for Spam Delivery Bypassing Filters
- good_intentions 1y agoChecking to see if this is happening to anyone else. This is a clever tactic where spammers are exploiting the GMail mail delivery subsystem with a return path to a legit GMail address to have the subsystem deliver the original spam message as an attachment to the recipient.
- Denatonium 1y agoIt's been happening to me too. I don't want to flag the messages as spam, as the mail delivery subsystem is doing exactly as it is supposed to, but this is a problem.
- jdlyga 1y agoYup happens on a daily basis
- supportengineer 1y agoThis will be solved as soon as someone figures out a way to get a promotion out of it
- good_intentions 1y agoRight?! Some low hanging grapes right here ripe for the promotion track. Something something revenue and total addressable opportunity.
