That doesn't really support his rhetoric. He has always said that he doesn't like the trade deficit, which is a dumb idea, so increasing exports would go along the same vein as increasing tariffs to limit imports. I think what would be more likely is the EU does something with it as a bargaining chip to reduce import tariffs rather than Trump trying to tax it out of existence. And just to be clear Trump's trade policy is dumb and I don't support it.
