KDE has done a great job keeping up a good desktop environment. They need to be careful not to let developers determine resource usage, as we got ksysguard replaced with an inferior System Monitor this way.
- The_President 1y agoFor example, I just had to "race a memory leak" from the UI and the only resource available (in UI) was System Monitor. Unfortunately the memory leak won, and System Monitor never launched after 20 seconds, the system finally froze (during a system update), and now it's borked.
