This went into quite a bit more detail than just how the mosaic was animated. That was a nice surprise, a thoughtful summary of several things that went into the project.

Related to this post, does anyone know why this post says "3 hours ago" but upon hovering on the timestamp, it has an older date? The title attribute is set to: title="2025-09-16T03:32:43 1757993563" Summoning @dang

    I feel like the "title" attribute should be updated to the new timestamp in such cases. The tooltip plus I believe assistive technology relies on the title attribute and it can be confusing.

      I'm not sure if that would make things better or worse. We want people to have access to the original timestamp as well.

        Why not just make the title attribute have both timestamps in those cases? That attribute allows newline characters.

        I might not be understanding but, wouldn't that confuse things? How does assistive technology rely on that attribute?

That would be a great screensaver. Also, one that's only NSFW would be cool.

I find it mildly amusing that the OP tried to filter out the NSFW ones, but the very first example on the page features a very large ejaculating penis.

Should probably note they allude to the public decency act, there is no such thing for now and hopefully for a while. I think this was meant metaphorically.

Huge nostalgia wave seeing some of these. Many of them are hard for me to pinpoint but unmistakably familiar. My first website was a geocities site back in ~1999, which was dedicated to StarCraft. I wish I could find it now; I remember it being really aesthetically pleasing - it would be funny to see how it held up.
