That would be nice, but trying to get those kinds of functionality upstreamed into GOS so they can be exposed tovapps in a structured way with the usual permissions model is a high effort.
There needs to be some escape hatch that you can use, even if your grandma doesn't have access to it.
- charcircuit 1y agoThere doesn't need to be an easy escape hatch. The escape hatch is to wipe and flash a fork.
- treyd 1y agoThen you lose all your data. You could also install a more traditional Linux phone OS too. The point is that you should always be some supported workflow instead of the user having to go out of their way and modifying the base system.
