I made a site where you can turn yourself in to Lego mini figures
- beingmani 1y agoMinifig is a fun AI-powered app that lets anyone to upload their photo and instantly transform it into a Lego-style minifigure version of themselves. It uses the Gemini under the hood, and the app generates playful Lego portraits that can be customized with accessories, backgrounds, styles, and facial expressions, giving users the freedom to create unique versions of their mini alter ego. Go try and share how you look.
- dtagames 1y agoAnother product using someone else's trademark. What's up with these? If you love Lego, don't steal their trademark. You cannot achieve any traction or success on someone else's trademarked IP and you'd be instantly knocked down by Lego's lawyers if you got any attention. Best to change your name and remove that word from the site.
- beingmani 1y agoHey, Thanks for letting me know. I'll update the site to not have anything related to LEGO or MINI Figures. Big Fan of them and just wanted to make this as a fun side project.
- dtagames 1y agoThanks for taking it the right way. Trademarkia is a good site to search for trademarks. You could probably use the word "mini" or even "figure" but they might have trademarked those put together. It's worth looking into. I launched a product slogan years ago and got chased down by IBM, of all people. That wasn't fun. I wound up having to license my own tag line from them to settle the trademark dispute, even though it wasn't actually infringing (it was a different trademark class, hardware, and I was making software.) Then, my attorney explained that, while possibly winnable, taking on that case would cost $50,000.
- beingmani 1y agoWhaaaat, I don't want to go in that hole. I better change these now. Btw, do you got any feedback on the app?
