- yesfitz 1y agoThis "article" has as much substance as the tweets it criticizes. No citations, just links to other uncited tweets and posts. Basically "trust me, bro". The crux of the article, emphasis mine. "If you spent your Wednesday absorbing thousands of posts on Bluesky—as I did, for whatever reason—it would be difficult to make an honest case that the platform’s users were celebrating en masse. There were indeed a lot of people doing that. Just not close to a majority, let alone 'every post.'"

- soupbowl 1y agoUhh, last night mastadon and bluesky were full of cheering after his death. You did not look very hard, the rest of the internet is taking screenshots and naming people doing it, you can easily find this with minor effort.
- Sparkle-san 1y agoThat's not coverage, that's random people on the internet, often hiding behind anonymity. How much of society actually gets their information by seeing what randos on mastadon and bluesky are saying?
